Elevated to elegance,
a restored row house dazzles.

This row house on Chicago’s Near West Side was rebuilt after the Great Chicago Fire of 1871.  The present owner remodeled it to bring back its former elegance.  He did most of the work himself, but called in Legacy Wood Creations to totally rebuild the kitchen in maple stained onyx with an off-white island.

Enter the room and your eyes are inevitably drawn to the beautifully embossed copper sink and the backsplash accents.  Thirteen-foot ceilings add an expansive, almost cathedral feel.

As a velvet gown sets off dazzling jewels, full overlay cabinets with granite tops anchor this sumptuous ensemble.  Notice the fine detail of the applied molding on all the doors and the raised panel ends.
